Project Overview:
An independently developed two-book educational series designed to support early childhood literacy. The Fokus Belajar project was conceived to address foundational reading and writing skills through structured repetition, visual clarity, and age-appropriate instructional design. The series focuses on building confidence in early learners by simplifying complex literacy concepts into accessible, engaging exercises.
Our Role:
Research –
Early literacy research focused on phonetic recognition, repetition-based learning, and fine motor skill development for young children.Writing –
Original instructional content developed to introduce reading and writing fundamentals in a clear, progressive, and child-friendly manner.Translation –
Language refinement and localisation to ensure instructional clarity and natural flow within Indonesian early-learning contexts.Visual Concept Development –
Development of a simple, supportive visual system prioritising clarity, focus, and reduced cognitive load for early learners.2D Character & Costume Design –
Creation of minimal, approachable characters designed to reinforce learning without visual distraction.Character & Art Layout –
Structured page layouts guiding learners through exercises intuitively, balancing text, illustration, and practice space.Pre-Print Production –
Final artwork preparation and layout refinement to ensure print accuracy, usability, and durability for repeated educational use.
Books:
Book 1 – Fokus Belajar Membaca AEIOU
Introduces basic vowel recognition and early reading skills through guided repetition and visual reinforcement.
Book 2 – Fokus Belajar Menulis Halus
Develops fine motor control and early handwriting skills through structured tracing and stroke exercises.
Impact:
The Fokus Belajar series demonstrates the ability to independently identify educational needs and translate them into practical, print-ready learning tools. The project highlights a disciplined approach to educational content creation, combining pedagogy, visual design, and production execution within a compact, focused publishing system.
